Casino Heist Diamonds Setup

The Diamond Casino Heist is a new heist job in GTA Online's Diamond Casino and Resort update. The casino heist is by far the most complicated heist GTA Online players have seen, but it offers some good ways to make a lot of money along the way. Diamond Casino Heist Preparations are freemode missions that are needed to progress the planning stage of The Diamond Casino Heist. They can be viewed and started from the basement of Arcades. There are two types of preparation missions – required and optional.

The Big Con is one of the three possible approaches that have been integrated into the Casino Heist mission in GTA Online for quite a while, along with the others respectively named the 'Silent and Sneaky' and the 'Aggressive' approach. In this article, we’ll shed light on the GTA 5 Diamond Casino Heist The Big Con as well as some optimal setups to navigate through it without wasting too much time.

About theGTA 5 Diamond Casino Heist The Big Con

Frankly speaking, the Big Con approach revolves around a special scenario, in which players disguise themselves to gain access to the Casino’s basement and steal the loot. At the end of the heist, players can optionally choose to take advantage of a new disguise to shy away from the guards during the getaway or even fight for an escape.

The Big Con approach is no doubt different from the other aforementioned approaches as this method comes with a unique entry in exchange for maintaining their cover. Once you fail to keep your disguise any longer, you must switch to a more aggressive method!

Note that the Ceramic Pistol will be the secondary weapon by default in all weapon loadouts in the Big Con, making sure that you’ll bypass the metal detectors without a hitch.

Bonus: When using the Bugstars disguise, Lester mentions that he had 'pulled something similar to take down a jewel store.' This references The Jewel Store Job, particularly the Smart approach, thereby making it the canon approach.

GTA 5 Diamond Casino Heist The Big Con - Vault

When you and your crewmates succeed in getting your hands on the vault, you have to drill the door locks to open it then get the loot as soon as possible. Try to not trigger the failsafe or you’ll activate the nerve agent in return.

If undetected, you’ll have more time to handle the vault but your crew has to deal with Level 3 security locks to open the doors inside the vault.

Bonus: What is the difference between the Level 1 and Level 2 security passes?

Level 1 is actually useless. In addition, Level 2 cards allow you to enter through all the doors without the need to hack them. With Level 1, you will need to hack doors to get through them. It makes your heist much easier especially if you are doing a silent and sneaky approach.

Soon afterward, you have to get out of the vault as well as the casino. Just try your best to avoid being noticed by the guards and the police as they’re all alerted.

GTA 5 Diamond Casino Heist The Big Con - Exit Points

Players are allowed to decide how to exit the casino through one out of the five entry points from the remaining approaches. For instance, if you opt for the helipad or roof terrace exit point, you’ll be on the lookout for Parachutes at these places.

Otherwise, players can choose to enter the laundry room if they’re remaining undetected. The crew can equip themselves with either the NOOSE uniform (in case you’ve had the NOOSE Gear prep completed) or the High Roller set (if you’ve obtained the 54 Playing Cards).

The laundry room is also where the crew can find the main weapons, which are based on specific loadouts. It’s time to escape without drawing attention from the guards.

The outside area is now surrounded by NOOSE and LSPD officers, so the players must avoid them by all means to not only move towards the getaway vehicles but also get rid of the current wanted level.

If all the crewmates cannot remain undetected, they’ll instead have to face off against the police. To complete the Casino Heist, the crew needs to drive to the buyer’s location.

Diamonds are a gamer's best friend. Rockstar finally saw fit to add actual diamonds to the Grand Theft Auto Online Diamond Casino Heist. These glittering gems are worth more than cash, more than artwork, and even more than those shiny bricks of gold. According to Rockstar, diamonds can lead to you walking away with 'up to 50% more than your average cash haul.'

Tempted? Of course you are. There's just one problem: diamonds have the lowest chance of spawning in the casino's vault. You're much more likely to run into cash or artwork. However, Rockstar has generously increased the odds of finding diamonds upon completing the Diamond Casino Heist during Valentine's Day week (Feb. 13 to Feb. 20).

What are you supposed to do for the rest of the year? Players ranked the chance of finding diamonds at a dismally low 8% when there's not a special event like Valentine's Day going on. You'd have to do a whole lot of heists to encounter this rare currency. That's a lot of time and effort down the drain. Worry not, dear player, because there is an easier way.

A special thanks goes to YouTuber MrBossFTW for his careful explanation of this apparent exploit: he has discovered a way to guarantee diamonds in every GTA Online Diamond Casino Heist. First, you'll have to have successfully completed the heist using all three methods: Stealthy, The Big Con, and Aggressive. After that, you'll be given the ability to cancel the heist at will.

Essentially, this not-quite-exploit requires you to go through with the heist up to the point where you scope out the casino. Using the Sightseer app, you can view the vault security feed (from the men's bathroom of all places) and see what's there: gold, artwork, cash, or diamonds. If there aren't any diamonds, you can just give Lester a call and end the heist then and there.

But wait — doesn't that mean throwing $25,000 down the drain? Technically yes, but you'll earn that back and then some upon completion of a heist with guaranteed diamonds waiting for you at the end. Sure, there's effort involved, but not near the same trouble you'd have to go through if you were forced to complete the heist for a puny payout.
