A Mississippi man is in custody after investigators said he fired shots in the parking lot of a Tunica casino on New Year’s Day.

Michael Nesbitt, 29, of Tunica, Mississippi will be charged with multiple counts of felony malicious mischief and one count of Discharge of Firearms within Subdivisions and populated areas in which people live and work, according to the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office.

ORIGINAL STORY: Suspects at large after bullets fly at casino on New Years Day

On Friday, January 1, 2021, the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call at approximately 3:12 a.m. stating an individual was firing shots in the parking lot of a casino property.

Deputies discovered several vehicles had been damaged as a result of the gunfire.

Nesbitt is currently in the custody of the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office.
