The Virginia House of Delegates and the state Senate approved multiple amendments to a proposed casino and sports betting legislation. The amendments were made by Governor Ralph Northam during the last minute. Mobile sports betting will be legal. A proposal for a Danville casino that is set to be detailed Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2019, to the city council and zoning committee calls for it to be the heart of a 42-acre gambling district on a site.
